Cup Series Championship Picks

Christopher Bell is the favorite to win the Cup Series Championship at Phoenix Raceway. The Championship 4 are all favorites to do so. NASCAR's season finale takes place at the Phoenix raceway on Sunday.

Christopher Bell won Loudon and Richmond last year. He's also won the last two elimination races of the playoffs.

Chase Elliott won the fall race in 2020 and finished fifth in both races a year ago. He has six Top 7s in his last 10 races on this track. Elliott has had just two Top-10 finishes in the last 11 races this season.

Joey Logano has five Top-10 finishes in his last six starts. He won the 2020 spring race and finished third in the playoff race. This season he was 17th and 6th at Richmond and 28th in Loudon.

Ross Chastain was runner-up in the spring race. He has six Top-7 finishes in last eight weeks.

Noah Gragson and Chase Elliott will win NASCAR championships this weekend. Caesars offers a chance to get a boost on their odds.

Kyle Larson is going to race at Richmond. He has finished in the Top 5 in three of his last five races there. Larson was 34th this past spring at the track.

Denny Hamlin has 10 Top-10 finishes in his last 13 starts in the desert. He was first and fourth at Richmond and finished sixth at Loudon.

Keselowski was second and 10th in his last two fall race starts at Phoenix. He will be fourth in the spring of 2021.

Chris Buescher won Bristol and finished third last time out in Richmond.

Ryan Blaney has six Top 10s in his last seven races at Phoenix. He finished third in 2019, 10th and sixth in 2020, and fourth last year.

Blaney was third last week in Martinsville. He's winless in his last 45 starts and he's 0-for-35 this season.

Kevin Harvick has seven wins and 11 Top-2 finishes in 21 starts since 2012. He can become the sixth driver to win 10 or more races at a single track with a win this weekend. Harrvck hasn't won with the new configuration, going 0-for-7.

Martin Truex Jr. won at Phoenix in the 2021 spring race. He was runner-up last fall. Truey hasn't finished better than fourth all season.

William Byron is (-125) vs. Chase Briscoe (+105) in the Cup Series Championship Picks. Briscoe won the race in March. Byron has just one Top-5 finish in his last 26 races on the year and one top-10 finish.

The championship drivers have finished in the Top 4 in two of the last four years and in at least 1-2-3 in three of last 4 years. The champion has won the season finale in all eight years under this Championship 4 format.

Bell has won the last two elimination races. Chastain has three straight Top-4 finishes on the season. Logano has been 17th or worse in five of the past eight races and has only two Top 10 finishes in his last 10. Ryan Blaney and Martin Truex Jr. are good but have not won a championship. Kevin Harvick is not a good driver on Richmond track. The first four races of this year’s postseason were each won by non-championship-eligible drivers.

The season champion won the season finale just twice in 42 years. The winner of the spring race in Phoenix has only gone on to win the series championship three times. The last 10 Phoenix winners have come from a Top-10 starting spot. Six of last seven Phoenix races saw the eventual race winner get a top 5 in the opening stage. Chase Briscoe finished second in Stage 1 back in March. Martin Truex Jr. last spring was the only driver to not score stage points in both stages and to won at Phoenix.
