David de Gea Next Club Odds

Manchester United confirmed over the weekend that David de Gea will be departing the club this summer, and the have opened a market on where he will end up next.

After 12 years at Old Trafford De Gea will seek pastures new ahead of the 2023/24 season.

A world-class goalkeeper at his peak, the Spaniard’s performances declined in recent years and he struggled to adapt to Erik ten Hag’s demands last term - most notably when it came to playing out from the back.

Andre Onana appears to be on his way to Manchester as De Gea’s replacement, but where will the latter end up?

We have found the best odds - and be sure to stick around for our analysis of the situation.

David De Gea Transfer News: Is A Saudi Arabian Club The Top Choice?

Saudi Arabia’s Pro League has already captured plenty of top-class talent from Europe, with Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Neves and Edouard Mendy among the high-profile players to have already moved to the Middle Eastern nation this summer.

The Saudi spending spree shows no signs of ending any time soon. As a free agent De Gea is probably in their sights and the money on offer would be hugely appealing to someone who will turn 33 in a few months’ time.

However, De Gea may feel he still has plenty left to give at the highest level of the game, which remains in Europe.

As things stand he is available at Evens to end up in Saudi Arabia according to BetVictor.

Betting On David De Gea's Next Club: Are Atletico Madrid In The Race?

Born in the Spanish capital, De Gea started his footballing career at Atletico Madrid.

He first joined the club at the age of 13 and worked his way through the youth ranks, making 35 appearances for the B team before his senior debut in 2009/10.

De Gea only spent two seasons as an Atletico first-teamer before Manchester United came calling, and he is now available at 3/1 with to return.

This would be the romantic choice: the hometown hero rejoining his boyhood club.

However, it is unlikely to happen unless Jan Oblak departs the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, which does not look probable given his importance to Diego Simeone’s side over the last few campaigns.

Exploring The Latest Odds For David de Gea To Move To Inter Milan

With Onana seemingly near the top of the Man Utd transfer odds, Inter will in turn be searching for a new No.1.

Recent reports suggest they are considering a swoop for Yann Sommer, who could be let go by Bayern Munich now that Manuel Neuer is fit again.

There is not currently any indication that Onana and De Gea will in effect swap positions, but Inter are the third-favourites at 10/1 right now.

The fact they need a goalkeeper - which is not the case for several sides across the continent - makes this a possibility.

Sevilla are available at the slightly longer price of 14/1. Jose Luis Mendilibar, who took charge in March, might want to bring in a goalkeeper of his own. However, there have not been any links with De Gea yet.

David de Gea Transfer Rumours: Is He Heading To Chelsea Or Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich signed Sommer in January after Neuer broke his leg while skiing. It was a short-term move: the Switzerland international is 34 years of age and nearing the end of his career at the highest level.

Neuer is three years older than Sommer and Bayern will need to source a long-term successor sooner rather than later.

Given De Gea is almost 33 and is not the best with the ball at his feet, so he is unlikely to be on the German giants’ radar.

Chelsea and Bayern are both available at 20/1 with to get the Spaniardto sign on the dotted line..

Kepa Arrizabalaga was the former’s first-choice goalkeeper last season and Mauricio Pochettino must decide whether or not he is happy to stick with the Spaniard.

Will David De Gea Join Tottenham Or Newcastle Next? A Look At The Transfer Odds

If De Gea ends up staying in England, the bookies reckon Chelsea is the likeliest destination.

But, Newcastle and Tottenham are available at 33/1 with Bet365 - both long shots, in other words.

Hugo Lloris is set to depart Spurs this summer, but the north Londoners have already landed a replacement in Guglielmo Vicario, formerly of Empoli. A move for De Gea, who would command huge wages, is not on the horizon.

Newcastle may one day look to upgrade on Nick Pope, but the former Burnley man was one of their standout performers last season, and he looks set to be first choice at St James’ Park for the upcoming campaign.
