F1 Dutch Grand Prix predictions, odds, betting tips, best bets for 2023 race at Zandvoort

After a four-week long summer break, Formula One finally returns for the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix.

As expected, Red Bull's Max Verstappen is the heavy favourite with the bookmakers to win here, as he looks to win a third straight home race around the Zandvoort circuit.

The World Drivers' Championship leader is also chasing history as he looks to make it nine race victories in succession, a feat only ever achieved once before by Sebastian Vettel during the 2013 season.

As seen before the break though, the chasing pack is beginning to grow stronger, especially McLaren as duo Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri performed well prior to the summer halt.

Mercedes pair Lewis Hamilton and George Russell remain dangerous as well, as does Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez who finished P2 at the Belgian Grand Prix last time out.

Ahead of the action, The Sporting News dives through all of the odds to give you the best bets and tips for the upcoming race.

Full list of odds for drivers to win the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix

F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2023: Best bet

  • Pick: Sergio Perez podium finish
  • Odds: -180 (BetMGM)

With there being little value in selecting Max Verstappen to win this race due to his extremely short odds at -400, it's best to look for value elsewhere ahead of the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix.

We've found that in the form of his teammate Sergio Perez to finish on the podium this weekend in Zandvoort.

The Mexican driver hasn't been in the best of form throughout the first half of the season, though he did shine in Belgium last time out, securing an easy P2 finish behind Verstappen.

That's led to team principle Christian Horner stating that Perez will still be with the team next year and with the pressure off, we're expecting him to have a much better second half of the season.

F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2023: Prop bet

  • Pick: Esteban Ocon points finish
  • Odds: +125 (BetMGM)

One of the teams that seemed to improve significantly heading into the summer break was French constructor Alpine.

Towards the four-week long break, they closed the gap to Aston Martin significantly, whilst there's talk that they could challenge for the 'best of the rest' tag come the end of 2023 alongside McLaren and Mercedes.

As such, we're picking Esteban Ocon to claim a top ten finish at the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend and build upon his P8 finish at Spa last time out.

It's been an up-and-down campaign so far for Ocon, claiming six points finishes from 12 races — though three races have seen him DNF. That said, given he's finished in the top ten in both of his prior races at Zandvoort, we're going to back him for another here at +125 with BetMGM.

F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2023: Flier bet

  • Pick: Lewis Hamilton fastest lap
  • Odds: +600 (BetMGM)

When looking at this selection on first glance, it's probably difficult to see how Verstappen won't pick up the fastest lap award this weekend in the Netherlands but there's reasoning behind this pick.

Last time out, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton took the extra point for recording the fastest lap in Belgium and he's also managed the feat in Monaco previously. In fact, Verstappen is the only driver to manage more quickest laps this season so far.

That's mostly to do with the fact that Mercedes usually find themselves too far off the pace of Red Bull to compete for the race victory but far enough ahead of other constructors in order for their drivers to make a 'free' pit stop come the end of the race and have a go at recording the fastest lap.

This selection is obviously a punt as it depends on how the Dutch Grand Prix pans out, but at +600 with BetMGM, it has plenty of upside.
