The PGA hits the second leg of its West Coast Swing this week as the Tour tackles Torrey Pines in San Diego. Xander Schauffele is the odds-on favorite after finishing T3 last week at PGA West.

Here are our top 2024 Farmers Insurance Open picks, props and long-shot bets:

2024 Farmers Insurance Open best bets, including long shots, player props

California native Max Homa won the Farmers last year and enters this year’s tournament with the fourth shortest odds at +1200.

Let’s take a look at some Farmers Insurance Open props, long shots and best bets:

Farmers Insurance Open picks: Jason Day Top 20 (+120 or better)

Jason Day has made the cut in each of the first two tourneys he’s played this year, including a T10 at The Sentry a couple of weeks ago. As long as he’s still in the race, he’ll have a chance to land in the Top 20 on Sunday. More importantly, Day is a two-time champion at this course and has seven top-10 finishes. We like the plus-money for the Aussie to finish high up the leaderboard in this one.

2024 Farmers Insurance Open props: Will Zalatoris to make the cut (-160 or better)

Will Zalatoris made his return at the Sony Open earlier this year after missing a sizable portion of the season last year due to a back injury. There was some expected rust on the 27-year-old, and he missed the cut after an insurmountable 76 in the first round. However, he has had five straight sub-70 rounds since then and finished with a respectable T34 at the American Express last week. We expect him to keep rounding into form by making another cut this week.

Farmers Insurance Open long shots: outright winner Sahith Theegala (+3300 or better)

Sahith Theegala is coming off a second-place finish at The Sentry and should be rested for another strong showing after taking last week off. The Pepperdine product notched his first win on Tour last season and is expected to keep surging up the ranks this year. Theegala has played the Farmers twice and has a couple of top-25 finishes, including a T4 last year. The rising star is currently 19th in the OWGR.

Farmers Insurance Open golf matchup props: Collin Morikawa to beat Xander Schauffele (+100 or better)

We’re playing the value here when pitting two of the best golfers in the world against each other. Xander Schauffele sizzled last week with a T3 and already has two top-10 finishes in as many tournaments played this year. So why bet against him?

For one, he comes in with -120 to Morikawa’s +100. Morikawa has only played one event this year, but it was a 25-under tie for fifth at The Sentry. Furthermore, he finished with a solo third at the Farmers last year while leading the field in fairways hit. Meanwhile, Schauffele has an average score of -7 over his last five appearances here, with an average finishing position of 16.
