Historic pride jersey sparks player boycott in Australia

Seven NRL players are boycotting a match over their team's decision to wear a pride jersey. The team is sponsored by a brewery and betting agency. They were not consulted and some object to the move on religious and cultural grounds. Coach Des Hasler apologises to LGBT community and to players involved. Ian Roberts, the first-ever former NRL player to come out as gay, says the boycott "breaks his heart". Last year AFL Women's player Haneen Zreika missed a game after declining to don the jersey onreligious grounds and she was accused of violence against women.
