Laurie Daley was offered a coaching consultancy role at Manly but the NRL rejected the club's official submission. Daly's job as a co-host on Sky Sports Radio’s Big Sports Breakfast is a conflict of interest because he works for TAB. The NRL has strict rules about players, coaches and officials being involved with betting agencies. Dale is disappointed but accepts the decision. He coached the Indigenous All Stars side for several years. Manley confirmed the stance on Tuesday. It is not to be accepted as an official with the Sea Eagles while he engages in other employment with a wagering operator.
