Heavily backed to beat the favourite and he’s another classy runner with every chance to win.

James McDonald has his work cut out for him from barrier 14, but the market confidence is tough to overlook.

4. Tuchel (Best Bet – $4.50) 

Ended his winning run last time out but he could get right back on the horse and win the Group 1.

The four-year-old son of Redwood owns four wins from seven starts at Sha Tin and he’s a potential rising star.

Getting the inside draw with Purton riding helps.

5. Sweet Encounter ($10) 

Only fair against similar opposition last start but it could have been saved for the bigger occasion.

Respected with bookmakers and he enters our calculations at the odds.

6. Flagship Warrior ($29) 

A good winner fresh up but we weren’t impressed with his performance last time out, which is concerning.

$29 is a fair price for an outside chance.

7. Galaxy Witness ($9.50) 

Struggling to recapture his winning form but he showed plenty of ability earlier in this career.

Second behind Tuchel two back and a repeat of that effort could see him figuring in the first three home.

8. Super Sunny Sing ($6.50) 

Adds to the depth of the field after winning three on the bounce, including beating Voyage Bubble three back.

Barrier five is ideal and he’s another runner punters must include in selections.

9. Sword Point (Best Roughie – $11) 

Value is with Sword Point, who won at Sha Tin two back before running sixth behind Voyage Bubble.

His best form would be good enough to contend and the former Australian owns a Group 2 placing at Newcastle.

That form could show up.

10. Encountered ($23) 

In good form but it has come at Happy Valley and we can’t see that measuring up well enough.

11. La City Blanche ($34) 

Mixing its form since arriving in Hong Kong and he’s not running well enough to consider at the big odds.

12. Majestic Colour ($34) 

Not the most consistent type going around but that was a nice win two back. It’s such a hard race, so we’re leaving him out.

13. Sinba ($34) 

Better suited to something easier. Wait for him to contest an easier race this season.

14. Bon’s a Pearla ($23) 

Ran fourth in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks before coming to Hong Kong. Hasn’t impressed so far.

15. Woodfire Bro ($51) 

A last-start winner who is unlikely to get a run.

16. Perfect Team ($51) 

No chance of winning based on his form.
