Horse racing figure Stephen Mahon avoids prison for assault on farmer with horse whip

Stephen Mahon was convicted of assaulting John Hughes with a riding whip in October 2020. He was given a suspended prison term for 24 months. Mr Mahan is a father of two children aged 7 and 11.
