Horse racing predictions: St Leger Festival

The ITV Racing team will broadcast live from 1.10-4.00pm on Friday on ITV3. The broadcast will include five live races from the St Leger Festival at the Town Moor course.

Mahrajaan has put together a good body of work this season. Connections of Going Gone and Inchicore are also in the Coral Mallard Handicap. Wise Eagle is on a career-high mark after wins at Musselburgh and Redcar.

There's a good chance that Kingman colt NOSTRUM will prove best juvenile here for Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore. Nostrum made a winning debut in July at Sandown. Arrest was good enough to see off Desert Order at the same venue on his next out. Zu Run won at Chelmsford on second start.

The PLATINUM QUEEN won at Glorious Goodwood in July and finished second in Nunthorpe Stakes at York last month. Richard Fahey’s filly was getting all the allowances in terms of weight on the Knavesmire, but it was still a high-quality effort.

Coltrane and Reshoun are closely matched on their Lonsdale Cup efforts at York last month. Trishen is well established at this level with four wins in Group 1 and Group 2 company. Stratum won the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

Juan Les Pins has been flying since joining Mick Appleby and completed a four-timer when scoring here last month. Mums Tipple has a poor overall strike-rate but he has improved since he joined Hugo Palmer. Fools Rushing In won over 7½f at Chester in July but has not been consistent since.
