There are no pennant races in Major League Baseball this season. The American League Central is up for grabs. There are still two teams in the National League East and two in National NL Wild Card. Baseball Writers Association of America awards are given out in November. Some states do not allow gambling on the BBWAA awards. The winner of the Manager of Year award is usually the team's manager. It is not possible to bet on these awards in some states. In New York, the award-betting is illegal.
Goldschmidt is having a great season for the ages. He is a four-time Gold Glove winner. Nolan Arenado is batting .299 with 28 home runs and a .910 on-base percentage. He's a better player defensively than Goldschmidt. The voters might throw him out for that. It's unlikely. Goldchider is the favorite to win the award.

Dylan Cease is the favorite for the AL Cy Young Award. Justin Verlander is even money. Shane McClanahan is at a whopping +3500. Verland will return to the Houston Astros' rotation on Friday after missing 18 days with a calf injury.
Michael Harris Jr. is the current NL Rookie of the Year. His teammate Spencer Strider is a pitcher. Striders has a 1.89 ERA and has held opponents to a .183 batting average in his three starts this month. Harris is batting .391 with five home runs in 46 September at-bats.
Julio Rodriguez is favorite to win the Home Run Derby. Adley Rutschman is a switch-hitting catcher who could become a perennial MVP candidate in years to come. The Orioles' surprise run in 2022 is partly attributed to Ritschman.
