Illinois posts $1 billion in sports wagers during October

Illinois set a record for sports wagers in October with $1.03 billion. DraftKings had the most wager with more than $345 million. FanDuel had second most with almost $327 million, generating $41.6 million in revenue and $7 million of taxes. The October handle rose 24% from September's handle of $831.8 million and revenue was up 10% compared to September. In October, Illinois sportsbooks generated more $16.4 million for state and local coffers.
