Louisiana's retail and online sports betting sites handled $255.5 million in October. The previous monthly record was $238.4 million. Most of the money was bet at the state's eight online casinos. Mobile sports betting was worth $219 million, while retail wagering was about $36. 5 million last month.
Louisiana's bookmakers earned $30.7 million from legal sports betting in October. Football wagering was responsible for $2.6 million of net revenue for online sportsbooks during October, more than any other sport. Parlays garnered operators $19.5 million in net revenues for the month.
