ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll take a stab on the Reds in this one. Ashcraft is pitching pretty well lately with seven earned in 22.0 innings over his last three starts on 15 hits and five walks. Ashcraft is just 0-1 during that trio however, so he’ll need some backup in order to get a W. As for Giolito, he’s given up 16 earned over his last 15.2 innings of work, going 1-2 in his last three starts. In the Sunday game the Reds got in big trouble early and couldn’t make a comeback with those four errors and some cold bats after the second inning. Still, the bullpen played pretty well (6.0 innings; two hits, one earned) and there were a few bright spots on the offense. I think Cincinnati can gather themselves together well enough to make a run here.
