ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll stay with Philadelphia. It’ll be interesting to see what Lorenzen can do in his inaugural outing wearing a Phillies jersey. The good news is that Lorenzen is pitching well right now. He’s got just three earned runs in his last three starts over 18.2 total innings, going 2-1 during that time. Lorenzen should be able to set the Phillies up pretty well. In Wednesday’s game Philadelphia couldn’t put the lid on a win despite a nice offensive evening. The Phillies bullpen gave up four earned in 5.0 innings on eight hits and three walks, which will further tax the pitching staff in the finale. That said, if Lorenzen can come out strong the Phillies should fall into a nice rhythm. It’ll be a fun one.
