NASCAR Xfinity: Wawa 250 Powered By Coca-Cola Prediction

Ty Gibbs seemed likely to land on Victory Lane for a second consecutive race before the final restart at Watkins Glen. Gibbs had won both stages before Sam Mayer controversially smashed Gibbs off the track and our NASCAR Xfinity Series picks, taking the win at Watkins Glen, with Sheldon Creed, Kligerman, Chastain, and Mosack rounding out the top five. With road courses completed and three races until the playoff cutoff, the Xfinity Series heads to Daytona International Raceway, where Gibbs and Mayer are likely to battle at the front and who are among the drivers featured in our Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola prediction and betting analysis.

While no NASCAR odds were available as of publication, Insiders Betting Digest has provided the odds to win the 2023 Xfinity Series champion for our favorites, except for Cup Series regular Ty Gibbs.

We recommend checking your preferred sportsbook for the most recent NASCAR Xfinity Series odds closer to the race when they’re released.

While not featured as a Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola prediction, Jeremy Clements won the summer race at Daytona in 2022. Clements finished 17th in the 2023 Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona.

Kaulig Racing’s Justin Haley is the other previous Summer winner at Daytona in the 2023 field, winning back-to-back races in 2020 and 2021. Haley finished 10th at Daytona in 2023.

The last time the Xfinity Series raced at Daytona, it was the Austin Hill show, as Hill took pole position, led the most laps, and won the season-opening race. Hill is the current leader in the Drivers’ Championship, coming off a 14th-place finish at Watkins Glen, but has four race wins, 13 top-five, and 17 top-ten finishes this season.

If Hill isn’t your pick to win, he should be a pick to finish in the top five at Daytona.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek is second in the driver’s standings and finished second at Daytona to start the season. Nemchek’s sixth-place finish at Watkins Glen was his 17th top-ten finish of the season while having five race wins and 11 top-five finishes.

Cup Series regular Ty Gibbs is among our featured drivers for our Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola prediction. Gibbs, the 2022 Xfinity Series Champion, was close to winning his second consecutive race before the incident with Mayer on the final restart.

Gibbs won both stages at Watkins Glen before being shunted and finishing 17th.

In the eight Xfinity Series races he’s raced in, Gibbs has one race win, five top-five finishes, and five stage wins and has to be one of your picks for a top-five finish and a contender to win the race.

Sam Mayer has five consecutive top-five finishes, four of which were in the top two. Mayer’s two wins have come during this stretch, while he has 15 top-ten and nine top-five finishes. Mayer’s top-five form should result in a better finish than his 27th-place finish at Daytona in 2023.

  • Insiders Betting Digest is taking Austin Hill to win, with Allgaier, Nemechek, Gibbs, and Cole Custer to finish in the top five at Daytona.
