I'm always on the lookout for the best Over bets. While they're more fun to root for, I regret to inform you that on Wednesday, we will have to take what the defense gives us and hope that Ingram doesn't do anything too exciting on the basketball court.

It's not only that I'm forcing you to root for the Under, but I may have also bet into a total that will cause even more stress because it'll be close, but the potential payout is worth the sweat.

When looking at Thunder vs. Pelicans predictions for Wednesday, I'm hopping on the Under bandwagon, not necessarily because I think he'll have a bad game, but because his totals are way too high. In my NBA same-game parlay picks, I also used the Under on Ingram's points prop, but with a straight bet, I can shop around and be more creative in order to increase my expected value.

Across the board, Ingram's points total trades at 30.5 points, however my projection has him scoring only 28.8 points. The Under is trading at -118 for 30.5 points at BetRivers, which means this bet has an expected value of 9% based on my projection. As a result of going Under the alternate total of 29.5 points priced at +106, I'm able to increase my expected value to 14%.

It wouldn't surprise me if this total dropped to 29.5 points before tip-off, but once that occurs, it will certainly not be trading at a plus price. Under 29.5 points is priced at -102 at FanDuel, further emphasizing the nice edge we're gaining via BetRivers at this price point of +106.

This prop is wild if we're being honest; we already had solid value going under the normal FanDuel assist total of 7.5, so to be able to get a larger edge over the alternate total has me pacing waiting for the start of this Thunder-Pelicans matchup.

It's projected that Ingram will drop 6.7 assists against the Thunder, which means we can price him at +100 to go Under the alternate total of 6.5 assists. As a result, this bet has a positive expected value of 24%, whereas our expected value would be only 14% if we were betting the Under 7.5 assists at -128 on FanDuel.

When it comes to the alternate total for the Under on Ingram's assist prop, FanDuel trumps BetRivers. This prop is traded by BetRivers for 10 cents shorter than FanDuel at +138.
