NBA player props: Best bets for Bucks vs. Spurs on Thursday, January 4

The first game of TNT’s Thursday doubleheader in the NBA will feature the Milwaukee Bucks and the San Antonio Spurs. This matchup of one of best teams in the league taking on one of the NBA’s worst units might not mean much for fans, but bettors can still find excellent player props to back. Here’s a look at our favorite player props for this game, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Victor Wembanyama over 28.5 points + rebounds (-120)

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft has not been able to translate his production into wins for San Antonio, but he’s not putting up bad stats. Wembanyama is averaging 18.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this season. Although he’s gone under this line in the last two games, he’s gone over it in five of the last 10 games. With Milwaukee on a back-to-back set, there could be some extra opportunities for a fresh Wemby to get over this mark.

Giannis Antetokounmpo under 34.5 points (+100)

The last time these teams met, Antetokounmpo notched a triple-double but went for just 11 points. He’s gone under this line in six straight games and might be limited on the second night of a back-to-back set. The Bucks might also turn this into a blowout pretty quickly, which would mean less minutes for Antetokounmpo assuming he does play. Take the under on this prop.

Devin Vassell under 2.5 3-pointers (-120)

Vassell has been shooting the ball better from deep over the last 10 games, connecting on 38.2% of his attempts. However, he’s gone over this line just five times in that span and has been under this mark in the last two games. The Bucks are one of the best teams at defending the perimeter, so the under on Vassell’s triples is the move tonight.
