Newsboy's horseracing selections for Friday's four meetings, including Newcastle Nap

Newsboy's expects to strike with his Nap, Panning For Gold, at Newcastle in the Quaff Box Handicap (5.45) and he also likes Eleven Eleven on the same card

PANNING FOR GOLD is fancied to collect for the fifth time from his last six starts by beating 11 opponents for the Quaff Box Handicap (5.45) at Newcastle today.

David Simcock’s son of Galileo Gold made his second attempt in handicap company a winning one with a score at Yarmouth in June.

My selection followed up at Brighton five days later and then racked up the hat-trick at Doncaster in mid-July.

Panning For Gold’s bid for the four-timer came up short at Newmarket on his penultimate outing but he was back in business at Southwell last time, beating Yeoman by a length and a quarter.

There is a 7lb rise to deal with here but Cieren Fallon’s mount hasn’t yet reached the bottom of the barrel and, now proven on Tapeta, he gets the vote to go in again.

Half an hour later at Gosforth Park, ELEVEN ELEVEN looks sure to go well in the Quinnbet Acca Bonus Handicap (6.15).

The Jessica Macey trainee has gained both his career wins over this course and distance and bounced back to form with a length-and-a-quarters second to Urban Road over Newcastle’s mile 10 days ago.

Eleven Eleven competes from the same British Horseracing Authority mark of 56 – he has won from higher – and a third success is on the cards.
