The Premier League season is past its halfway point, and there are still a handful of teams challenging for the title.

Best Premier League odds

Manchester City are back being the odds-on favourites to win the Premier League.

The Sky Blues established themselves as the best team in Europe last season when Pep Guardiola's side won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League, locking down a treble for the first time in club history.

The team responded with four wins and a draw since then, flying up the odds table after Arsenal dropped its past two games.

Erling Haaland scored a record-breaking 36 goals last season and he's already potted 14 through 15 contests this time around. Jack Grealish remains elite and Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez have stepped up big time so far.

Oh, and Kevin De Bruyne is back.

Other Premier League choices

Tottenham was off to a flawless 8-2-0 start before dropping four of five games from Nov. 6 to Dec. 7.

But the Spurs responded well, with four wins and a draw in their last six. The squad is only five points back of Liverpool and there's still a lot to love about the team under manager Ange Postecoglou.

The Spurs sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich for a massive fee before the season and haven't lost much of a beat without their all-time leading goalscorer. Heung-min Son has picked up plenty of slack with 12 goals in 20 games.

Tottenham is dealing with injuries right now but should be a formidable side when fully fit. The team's odds were as short as +1,100 on Oct. 10. This is a buy-low point for Tottenham, who has a rest advantage over other contenders as the club has no European football in sight.

Last year, Arsenal's season ended on a bad note for the second time in as many years.

The Gunners dropped out of the final Champions League spot due to a poor run of form down the stretch of the 2021-22 season, and they effectively threw away the Premiership last year by only winning three of their final nine games (3-3-3).

And it's looking like that's due to repeat itself again.

Arsenal has just seven points in its past six games and is now five points back of Liverpool.
