Our college football best bets for Week 6

The college football season is back in full swing. VSiN experts give their best bets on select games. Odds are from DraftKings as of Wednesday night.

Tim Murray is backing TCU to beat Kansas. The Horned Frogs are 4-0 and fresh off a 55-24 win over Oklahoma. Kansas is 5-1 and ranked in the Top 25 for the first time since October 2009. Iowa State won 14-11 last week. The Jayhawks averaged over 470 yards per game over their first four games. They were held to 213 yards and 10 first downs last time. Tim Murray went against Iowa last weekend.

Missouri lost to Georgia last week. Florida is looking for its first conference win. The Gators are 2-0 ATS as underdogs and 0-2 ATCW as favorites. They lost at Missouri last year as 8-point favorites, but they won 52-17 over ECS Eastern Washington. Tim Murray will pair Florida and TCU for a reasonably priced moneyline parlay.

Louisville's Malik Cunningham is concussed. The team is worried about his health and future. If Cunningham can't play, the team will rely on Tiyon Evans. Virginia's offense has fallen this season. The game is a bet on the under. It's also a good bet for the defense. They have improved. This is their first game since Tony Elliott took over.

Akron and Ohio are two of the worst defenses in FBS. The Bobcats have the best passing game and the Zips are one of worst rushing defense. Akron is 65th in total passing yards. The game should be close. It's expected to be a game of poor passing and poor rushing. Both teams have poor defenses. They have allowed over 1,900 yards in their last four games.

Washington lost 40-32 at UCLA. Arizona State won 42-25 at USC. The game is on the road. The score is 14-3. It's a big number to bet on. They are a 24.5-point underdog. Washington has only five starters and two cornerbacks taken early in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Iowa's offense is awful and the team's defense is good. Illinois has played well this season and is ranked fourth in yards per play allowed. Iowa and Illinois are playing each other in a low-scoring game. Adam Burke was on the Illini last week and they won outright over Wisconsin.

Kansas State is undefeated this season thanks to the play of Adrian Martinez and Deuce Vaughn. Iowa State has lost a lot of players from last season and is struggling in conference play. The line has Kansas State -5.5, but anything under -4 is worth taking.  Adam Burke recommends taking anything less than -3.

Oregon State lost to Utah last week. Quarterback Chance Nolan threw two interceptions and left the game with a neck strain. Ben Gulbranson came in relief and threw for 177 yards but also threw 2 interceptions. Stanford is in the midst of an 0-11 ATS run and has not covered in over a year. The Cardinal's last cover was the upset of then-No. 3 Oregon on Oct. 2, 2021.
