Pac-12 Week 4 notes include UCLA-UW, Oregon-Wazzu, Arizona’s tumble

USC and other Pac-12 teams want their competitors to finish 7-2 to get a ticket to Las Vegas in early December. No one has gone 9-0 in the Pac 12 since the conference expanded from 10 to 12 teams.

Oregon lost to Washington State, so USC doesn't get to play the Ducks. Both teams won on the road. USC is 4-0. Travis Dye has been the best offensive player through four games. Bo Nix was nails down the stretch against Washington. The team is getting better with the arrival of the transfer players. They are Eric Gentry from Arizona State and Mekhi Blackmon from Colorado. The players are valuable. It's good to see how the team has changed in one year. There are some good players in the Pac-12.

Washington has played four games this season. The team hasn't played a strong team yet. UCLA had a soft September. Arizona's defense was torched by Cal. Oregon State put up a fight against USC. Jonathan Smith needs a special quarterback.   USC's road trip to Tucson is easier than many people thought. It's because the team has a week off before the game. California's win at Notre Dame was not a good one. Dennis Erickson needed Jonathan to win the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Notre Irish. He did that 20 years ago. USC has the same week of rest. They have a bye week before their trip.
