Premier League clubs have approached Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe

A number of Premier League clubs have reportedly made an approach to sign Kylian Mbappe, with Liverpool believed to be interested in the forward.

According to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol, the PSG superstar has been approached by at least three English sides after Mbappe was made available for transfer last week.

Solhekol said on Premier League interest in Mbappe: “I’ve been told the clubs include two or three clubs from the Premier League, as well as clubs from Italy and Spain.”

With news breaking on Monday that Al-Hilal have made a world-record bid of €300m (£259m) for Mbappe, Liverpool’s odds of signing the forward seem like zero, to be perfectly blunt.

Yet this update from Sky Sports News could indicate that the Reds are one of three English sides to make an approach for the 24-year-old, with Mbappe linked with Liverpool for what feels like years.

Liverpool still have no shot at signing Mbappe this summer

It should go without saying that Liverpool signing Mbappe this summer would be nothing short of a miracle, and the Reds currently stand no chance of matching the world-record offer currently on the table for the forward.

Whilst Mbappe is seemingly a fan of Liverpool and has said in the past how he is keen to play in the Premier League, a move this summer looks as unlikely as ever, despite PSG listing the striker for sale.

Indeed, Mbappe looks primed for a move to Saudi in a package worth close to £1bn, and for Liverpool, their chances of signing the forward are as low as they have ever been.
