Rams vs. Cowboys Predictions, Picks & Odds Week 8: Dak and Cowboys Remain Formidable at Home

The Los Angeles Rams travel to AT&T Stadium to take on the well-rested Dallas Cowboys, who are returning from their bye week, and our top prediction for the Rams vs. Cowboys matchup anticipates a strong performance from the Cowboys at home on Sunday. We shop for the best NFL odds from our best sports betting apps when making all our NFL picks.

The Dallas Cowboys have rolled off 10 consecutive home victories and are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since beginning the season 2-0 by topping the visiting Los Angeles Rams at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

Dallas won the only meeting between the two teams last year, with a 22-10 road victory in Week 5. Remember, too, it was backup quarterback Cooper Rush who started for the Cowboys. The Rams will have to face No. 1 QB Dak Prescott this time around.

To accompany all of our NFL predictions for Week 8 and NFL best bets, here is our best Rams-Cowboys prediction and our NFL picks (odds via our best NFL betting sites; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Rams vs. Cowboys prediction

Cowboys -6 ATS (-110 via Caesars, bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Although there are a lot of points being laid, the Cowboys are 4-2 against the spread in 2023. They’re 2-0 ATS at home.

Meanwhile, the Rams have every right to feel aggrieved about the controversial call that iced their game in Week 7. However, they only managed to score eight points in the entire second half.

Los Angeles is averaging 22.1 points per game to rank 13th in the NFL, and the Rams face a Cowboys defense that's surrendered 16.7 points per matchup (fourth). Meanwhile, Dallas has scored 25.7 points per outing in 2023 to rank third, and Los Angeles is allowing 20.1 while sitting 14th. Dallas holds the advantage on both sides of the ball and is formidable at home.

The Rams’ rushing defense will be a concern against a fresh Tony Pollard. Los Angeles is giving up 117 rushing yards per game, which is 20th leaguewide. Pollard has been the home team's leading performer on the ground while averaging 61.7 yards per game through six contests. He's notched two touchdowns.

The Cowboys should be relied upon to cover while fresh off a bye. They're too good at home for a Rams team that's 2-8 record on the road over its last 10 games.

Rams vs. Cowboys best odds

Caesars and bet365 (-110)

The line has dropped from 6.5 with some of our best sportsbooks. Caesars and bet365 give us -6 at odds of -110. It’s a big line, but well within reach for this strong Cowboys team.

Rams vs. Cowboys odds

The best price you can get for Dallas straight up is -258 via Draftkings. The Cowboys are 4-1 straight up as favorites in 2023. Los Angeles is +222 straight up via Caesars and is 1-3 as the underdog this campaign.

You’ll want to consider the Under when betting on the total. The line is set at 45.5, and both Caesars and bet365 are posting the best odds at -110. The Under is 5-2 in Rams games this season, and 3-3 in Cowboys contests. The Rams have been held to 17 points or fewer twice over their last three games.
