Rangers vs. Mets prediction and odds for Tuesday, Aug. 29 (New York can pull off upse

It's no secret that the New York Mets have thrown in the towel on the season, but that doesn't necessarily mean we should just bet against them in every game from here on out. Players still have a lot to play for and I think they may find themselves in a great upset spot on Tuesday night against the Rangers.

Before I dive into the odds for the game, let me tell you about this great offer from Caesars Sportsbook. For a limited time, new users will be given $250 in guaranteed bonus bets when they place a $50 bet on any game (including this one)! Go ahead and click the link below and feel good about your bet on the Mets for a change.

Now, let's take a look at the odds for tonight's interleague matchup.

Jose Quintana gets the start for the Mets tonight and while his 1-5 record isn't anything to write home about, he has been playing much better than his record indicates. He has also been performing much better at home, improving his ERA from 4.20 on the road to 2.45 in home starts.

He'll face off against Andrew Heaney of the Rangers, who I believe is due for some regression. Heaney, along with the rest of the Rangers rotation, has been largely overperforming this season and we're starting to see some cracks show. Heaney's 4.34 ERA is haunted by a 4.93 FIP, so I won't be surprised if the Mets bats get to him tonight.

Even if he does have a solid showing, the Rangers bullpen has really let them down lately. Dating back to the All-Star Break, their bullpen has an ERA of 5.07, which ranks 23rd in the Majors over that stretch.

Call me crazy, but I think the Mets can pull off the upset tonight.

Odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
