Red Sox poach, promote key Yankees player development director

The Boston Red Sox finished last in the American League East. They are interested in signing a player development director from the New York Yankees.

Andrew Wright was promoted to be the Red Sox minor-league field coordinator. He was previously the director of operations in the Dominican Republic for the Yankees. Wright has previous experience as a college coach. He also spent two years as an area scout for Brewers.
