Seattle Mariners vs Los Angeles Angels Prediction 9-12-23 MLB Picks

The Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners meet Tuesday in MLB action from T-Moble Park. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. On Monday in the opener matchup, the Angels put up a wild extra-innings victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Los Angeles Angels

The Angels played the Guardians over the weekend and won three of four games. On Sunday in a 2-1 victory, LA’s Randal Grichuk and Mike Moustakas each had an RBI. In the Monday game versus the Mariners, LA scored three in the top of the 11th inning during a comeback win 8-5. Logan O’Hoppe finished with three hits, two homers and three RBI. Brandon Drury had a two-run shot as well.

In the starter role for the Angels on Tuesday it’ll be Patrick Sandoval. In his 25 starts this year Sandoval is 7-12 with a 4.31 ERA and 115 Ks in 131.2 innings. Sandoval is 1-5 with a 5.35 ERA over his last seven starts.

On Monday the Mariners put up a comeback effort in the bottom of the 10th but couldn’t finish it off. Julio Rodriguez had four hits, two runs, two RBI and a homer in the losing effort.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll take a stab on the Mariners here but the line’s probably too thick to mess with. Woo could use a bounce-back start as well. In his last outing versus Cincinnati, Woo took the loss with five earned in 5.0 innings. Prior to that however, Woo was 1-0 over two starts with just one earned in 10.0 frames. Looking at Sandoval’s last pair, he’s given up nine earned in 8.2 frames total on 12 hits and seven walks. In the Monday game the Mariners didn’t get a ton of offensive output outside of Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh (two hits; two RBI; homer), wasting a solid effort from starter Logan Gilbert—7.0 innings and three earned. The Mariners have scored three or more runs in four straight games though, so I’ve got to think the offense will carry Seattle in a bounce-back during game two.
