Texans vs. Falcons Player Props, Odds

C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans meet Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons, as we make our best Texans vs. Falcons NFL player props for Week 5 based on the best NFL odds.

In Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons rookie running back Bijan Robinson produced his second 100-yard rushing game. It was the one positive for a team that managed just 287 yards and turned the ball over three times.

Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud is off to a red-hot start to his career. He’s 94-for-151 for 1,212 yards and six touchdowns, and he has yet to throw an interception. His success has helped create a solid receiving corps.

Here are our best Texans vs. Falcons NFL player props for Week 5 (NFL odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Texans vs. Falcons NFL player props: Week 5

Nico Collins Over 4.5 receptions (-105 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

Over the last two weeks, one thing has been true when facing the Atlanta Falcons. If you’re the top wide receiver for your team, you’re going to have a big game. We saw Amon-Ra St. Brown haul in nine passes for 102 yards, and then last week, Christian Kirk had eight grabs for 84 yards.

Collins has hit 80 yards in three of his four games this season, and he has hit 146 or more in two contests. The Falcons’ pass defense numbers are a little inflated thanks to facing two young starting quarterbacks in Weeks 1 and 2, then the game script calling for their opponents to run the ball more in Weeks 3 and 4.

Collins has been targeted at least nine times in three games. This is a pass-first offense, and while we’re a little reluctant to take receiving yards Overs just in case the Falcons’ secondary is better than we think, it’s hard to imagine Stroud’s favorite target leaving Sunday’s game without five catches. He’s had at least that many in three games already.

Bijan Robinson Over 28.5 receiving yards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Robinson’s receiving yards Over has hit in all four of his games. He is currently tied for the team lead in targets, and he has four more receptions than anyone else on the team. He has at least four catches and 27 yards in each of his four games this season.

Many will be inclined to take his rushing Over after the 105-yard performance last week. However, the Texans’ defense hasn’t been bad against the run this season, and the Falcons could be playing from behind in this game.

Our best sports betting apps are all moving this line to 4 as the weekend approaches. There are only two that have kept it at 4.5, and FanDuel is charging -115 for the spread. However, BetMGM is still holding onto +4.5 for -110, so that’s the best place to bet at the moment.

Get in quickly. Everything is pointing toward this line shrinking to four and possibly even 3.5.

Robinson’s rushing has been inconsistent, but his pass-catching has not. Our best sports betting sites are finally catching up to Robinson’s role in the receiving game, but we think they’re still a little low on him. Get in this week before this number jumps into the 30s next week.

C.J. Stroud Over 1.5 touchdown passes (+104 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐

Stroud has thrown two touchdowns in each of his last three games. Last week, many were expecting regression from the rookie against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While his completion percentage suffered and barely topped 50%, the rest of his numbers were great.

The Falcons have allowed just six touchdown passes this season, and three of their four opponents have thrown for just one against them. This could mean bad news for Stroud, but he plays on a team that throws the ball no matter what the score is.

Last week, his second touchdown came with 3:39 remaining and his team up 23-6. The week before, his second came with 8:59 remaining and his team up 27-17. This doesn’t mean he’s barely scraping by, it means his coaching staff trusts him to make the right decisions even when the game is in hand. Whether he is winning or losing Sunday, Stroud will be throwing, and we think he’s more legitimate than the Falcons’ defense.
