Titans vs. Browns Predictions, Picks & Odds Week 3: Can Tennessee Spring Upset in Cleveland?

The Cleveland Browns host the Tennessee Titans, as we make our best Titans vs. Browns predictions based on the best NFL odds.

The Browns lost star running back Nick Chubb for the season in Monday night’s 26-22 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. His absence will be felt immediately, as the Browns average more yards per game on the ground than through the air.

The Titans won an overtime thriller over the Los Angeles Chargers to move to 1-1. After a week where he threw three interceptions, Ryan Tannehill threw zero in Week 2, and he had just four incompletions.

Here is our best Titans vs. Browns prediction and our NFL picks (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Titans vs. Browns prediction

Titans +3 (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

Even when the Titans look terrible, they’re never out of a game. In Week 1, Tannehill completed fewer than 50% of his passes, threw three interceptions, and the team rushed for just 104 yards, yet they only lost by one point. Left for dead by many against the Chargers, the Titans pulled off an improbable overtime win.

The Browns have been an equally unpredictable team. Their defense has looked great through two weeks, but the offense, and especially Deshaun Watson, have been bad. In their Week 2 loss to the Steelers, Watson turned the ball over three times, and he made numerous other mistakes that cost his team yards and possession.

With Chubb out, Jerome Ford should see a majority of carries after he rushed 16 times for 106 yards on Monday night. While the Browns signed Kareem Hunt, we don’t expect him to make an immediate impact this week. All that being said, this is an offense in flux, and the Titans’ defense has been great so far this season.

If the Titans can avoid costly turnovers, and if they trust Derrick Henry to do his thing while taking the pressure off Tannehill, then it's going to be a long day for the Browns on both sides of the ball.

Of course, this is only a three-star play because one should never put too much faith in a player like Tannehill, who consistently makes mistakes.

Titans vs. Browns best odds

At the moment, BetMGM is the only sportsbook offering the spread at +3, but this spread is hours away from moving to +3 across the board. Three of the four best sports betting apps with the spread listed at 3.5 are offering a price of -120, while DraftKings is offering -118.

We recommend playing this at BetMGM for a better price since it’s significantly better than what is being offered at the other four sportsbooks. Even though you’re giving up the half-point, everything is pointing toward the Titans winning this game outright. Therefore, we’re okay with taking the risk.

Titans vs. Browns odds

The Browns opened as 4.5-point favorites, but based on how they looked on Monday night and the loss of Chubb, this spread has dropped to 3.5. The key number is now in play, especially as a majority of wagers back the Titans. If you’re on Tennessee, we recommend you get in as soon as possible, as most of the best sports betting sites are about to drop this number to 3 and possibly even lower. If you’re on the Browns, you can definitely wait and get this at or below the key number.

The total opened at 39.5, and despite overwhelming support for the Under, the number has not moved. With 74% of placed wagers backing the Under, we think this total could drop as far as 38 before kickoff. If it goes up, don’t get excited. That would be a very suspicious move from oddsmakers and one that would make us consider the Over.
