PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!
MLB DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Today
Eury Perez has struck out more than six batters in three of his previous four starts and has matched or eclipsed this total in five of his previous six starts. He will be facing the Reds tonight, who have posted the fifth-highest K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks with a rate of 27.1%. The Reds are also posting just a 6.2% walk rate and a sub-100 wRC+ mark over that same span, which should help give Perez some length in this one.
Spencer Strider has struck out at least 10 batters in five of his previous seven starts and has matched nine strikeouts in the other two starts. He will be up against the Pirates tonight, who are posting the third-highest K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks with a rate of 28.3%. This is a very solid spot for Strider with the only true risk being that he is on the road where his K/9 mark is 13.6 compared to 15.1 at home.
Dylan Cease less than 7.0 strikeouts
Dylan Cease has eclipsed this total just twice in his previous six starts and does not have the easiest matchup against the Yankees tonight. While the Yankees are posting the 10th-highest K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks, they are also posting the highest walk rate over that same span with a rate of 11.5%.
This could get Cease into trouble and rack his pitch count up as he has walked at least two batters in each of his previous four starts and has racked up 10 walks over his previous 18 1/3 innings pitched. He is capable of eclipsing this number, but he likely does not get deep enough to do so tonight.
