trainer Joe Tizzard desperate to win race named after his late sister

Joe Tizzard has four entries in the Coral Welsh Grand National on December 27. He will rely on one of his horses, The Big Breakaway, to win the race named after his late sister, Kim Gingell. Kim died in May 2020 after a short battle with cancer. Colin Tizzard, Joe and Kim's father, was known for sometimes getting emotional in winners’ enclosure after big race victories. Tizard won the Welsh National twice with Native River in 2016 and Elegant Escape in 2018. This is the first season Titchard has held the sole trainer”s licence. His father is still involved in running the yard.

Joe Tizzard is hoping to win a race named after his late sister. Coral Welsh Grand National odds are 5-1 Quick Wave, 8-5 Ask Me Early, The Big Dog, Pats Fancy, Gericault Roque, Royale Pagaille, Ashtown Lad and Big Breakaway.
