Union can stun weakened Reds

Jurgen Klopp is likely to field a weakened Liverpool team, with Sunday’s Premier League match against Manchester United his priority given the Reds are guaranteed to finish top of Group E.

That could leave them vulnerable against a Union Saint-Gilloise side who, in contrast, need a win to have any hope of snatching second spot away from French side Toulouse.

Mohammed Amoura is the main man for Union Saint-Gilloise, the Algeria forward having netted 11 goals in 12 league appearances since signing from Swiss side Lugano in August.

Fresh from scoring twice in the 3-1 win at Charleroi on Sunday, Amoura will be hoping he can bolster his tally against a Liverpool side who conceded away at LASK Linz and also shipped three at Toulouse.

The Reds’ only clean sheet in 12 away games this season came at Premier League strugglers Sheffield United, so Amoura can cause problems for what is likely to be a makeshift defence.
