Washington Capitals vs. Montreal Canadiens: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More

Tonight the Washington Capitals visit the Montreal Canadiens in their lone visit to the Belle Centre. They have won four straight games in Montreal and have earned at least one point in 19 of their last 20 games up there. That’s a 17-1-2 record with a .900 points percentage dating back to Nov. 28, 2009.

The Caps held a morning skate in Montreal. Here were the forward lines, via Roman Stubbs of The Washington Post:

Ovechkin-Strome-Wilson

Milano-Backstrom-Protas

Sheary-Kuznetsov-Smith

Mantha-Dowd-NAK

*Oshie, TvR both did not travel due to upper body injuries. Per coach Peter Laviolette, Darcy Kuemper will start tonight in goal.

This season the Caps have won their first two games against the Habs by a combined score of 12-3 including a 9-2 victory over Montreal at Capital One Arena on Dec. 31.

The Caps are 34-34-9 having dropped two in a row. That’s 77 points. The Habs are worse at 30-42-6 with 66 points. No matter what happens tonight they should both land good draft picks this summer.
