Week 1 college football ATS betting picks and predictions for games on TV

The college football season kicks off Thursday night. Penn State travels to Purdue and Oregon State takes on Boise State. The point spreads have been up for several months.

Tennessee is arguably Georgia's biggest threat in the SEC East. Ball State grades out as the 115th best offense and 117th most effective defense. The 'Vols will get off to a smooth start with a comfortable home win over Ball state.

Purdue won the Music City Bowl last season. The Boilermakers have a 19-8 ATS record as an underdog. They lost star WR David Bell and DE George Karlaftis to the NFL Draft.
