Weekly Bet for Non-Bettors: Stars vs. Golden Knights Game 4

Welcome to the Weekly Bet for Non-Bettors, a brief recommendation on betting from For the Win’s resident non-bettor, Cory Woodroof.

If you’re more likely to bet on your biological clock waking you up over an alarm than you are to bet on a parlay, then you’ve come to the right place.

This week’s Weekly Bet for Non-Bettors will take a hard look at Thursday night’s hockey game between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars.

The Stars are having a bad time in the Western Conference finals. The team is going to be without center Jamie Benn for the next two games (if Dallas makes it that far in this series), and they’re down 3-0 to Vegas with an elimination game on the horizon.

The fans in Dallas got so frustrated with the Stars that they threw trash on the ice during Game 3 on Tuesday night. A Golden Knights player laughed at a Stars player for trying to pick a fight with him. It was not a great night in Dallas.

The Stars seem to be in dire straits with no signs of promise, and them getting swept right out of the 2032 Stanley Cup playoffs feels inevitable.

Instead, take the -101 underdog odds the Golden Knights have to finish up business on the road and clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup finals.

We’ll recommend you bet $5 on Vegas’ -110 odds to defeat Dallas and win the Western Conference finals.

We’re guessing the Golden Knights breaks out the brooms for a Stars sweep. We really don’t see this going any other way.
