Williamson three ready for big day (Updated)

The Ashburton Harness Racing Club’s Labour Day meeting branded ‘Magic Monday” is going to be great. Southland trainer Nathan Williamson has three horses. Rakamurph, Sand Wave and Pembrook Playboy are going for the win. The meeting is being called “Magic Mondays“. It is the first meeting of the season. The winner of each race will be announced on the next day. There are 11 races on offer. They are: $40,000 Listed Garrard‘s Sires Stakes Sophomore, $50,00 Group Two Ashburyton Flying Stake, and $100, 000 Laced Garrards Stables.

Nathan Williamson took his three runners for a final hit out at the Winton Workouts today (Oct. 21) before he heads to Ashburton for Monday’s meeting. Sand Wave beat Foveaux Strait by a head, Rakamurph finished second and Pembrook Playboy finished fourth.
