Young touch star helped by Dalton's legacy

Tara Turner is one of 12 new Tania Dalton Foundation scholarship recipients. She will play for New Zealand Touch Rugby against Australia in Newcastle next month. Turner comes from a family of touch rugby players. The foundation was set up by the late Tanya Dalton three years ago. This is the first year there is a full complement of 36 scholars. The idea behind the scholarships is to help young women to “unlock their best selves”. Renee Holmes was a recipient in the foundation’s first. year. Her mentor is Debbie Fuller.
