Black Fern Krystal Murray wants to inspire Northland girls to play rugby

Krystal Murray and Portia Woodman are the only Northlanders in the Black Ferns' Rugby World Cup team. The RWC starts on October 15 and the team will play at home in Whangārei. Murray wants to inspire young girls in Northland to play rugby. She wants them to move out of the province to make it in rugby, as there is no pathway here. She is a dual international having represented New Zealand at the 2017 Rugby League World cup in Australia. Her team lost to the hosts in semifinal. It is the pinnacle of women's rugby and she wants it to be the same for Northlands.
