Seven races will be run and won at Warwick Farm on Friday. Weather is fine, track is good (4) and the rail is out two metres for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (13:40) Hyland Race Colours Plate 1100m

Back Me

9 Love And Light (Bet Now:$2.60) is a daughter of Capitalist for GaiBott that resumes. She had a two run Winter prep to start her career and placed each time, the second run seeing her run a narrow second behind subsequent Stakes performer French Endeavour. Trial work to get ready has been sharp, lands on speed…hard to get past.

Danger

11 Te Pani (Bet Now:$SP.00) is knocking on the door to break her maiden. Annabel Neasham trained filly that is third up from a spell after finishing runner up in both runs this time in, the latest at Canterbury when on speed and fought on strongly behind Tycoon Deshauna. Good racing style and hard fit now. She appeals.

Long Shot

5 Namoi River (Bet Now:$101.00), I think has talent. Whether he can resume with a win in town, not sure, but he has home track advantage. He debuted in August on the Kenso when just finding them a bit sharp when down the track behind Nadal. Trials to get ready have been encouraging and although he’ll spot them a start, he should be strong at the end.

Race 2. (14:15) Drinkwise Plate 1400m

Back Me

10 Pasima (Bet Now:$4.80) has panels on these with normal luck. He didn’t get that when racing last time in the Magic Millions Maiden at the Gold Coast but he rocketed late and was outstanding in defeat behind Vanquished. I think he has borderline Stakes class ability and if he’s within range on the turn, I think he’ll be too good.

Danger

13 Xidaki (Bet Now:$5.00) should appreciate a rise to 1400m for Team Snowden. He was gallant in defeat fresh at Randwick on Boxing Day after sitting wide no cover. He then went to Newcastle where he looked a good thing but just lacked the change up speed to put them away when a narrow second. Hard fit now, up in trip, he is in the mix.

Long Shot

6 Frodash (Bet Now:$34.00) is racing like he will appreciate 1400m. He did more than enough on debut at Canberra over 1000m before going to 1200m at Gosford where he got back and was never a threat but kept finding the line in a good effort. He is bred to eat up 1400m and with Winkers on first time, he should be that little bit more sharp.

Race 3. (14:50) National Pony Racing Series Handicap (72) 1400m

Back Me

9 Miss Emma (Bet Now:$14.00) has ability when right. She displayed that two back when spanking them in a Canterbury maiden before going to Randwick where she got back off the speed and kept finding the line in a solid effort behind a very nice horse, Shaken. She was a few weeks between runs there so with room for improvement, she’s hard to beat I’d suggest.

Danger

3 Infinitive (Bet Now:$5.00) is a nice mare for Chris Waller that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since the Vinery Stud during the Autumn last year when down the track but far from disgraced in defeat behind Prowess. Had bone chip removal hence the long time but has trialled well leading in and has a touch of quality.

Long Shot

1 Irish Kisses (Bet Now:$17.00) is a knockout chance with her best. Tracey Bartley trained mare that ran on the Kenso last time where she was near the speed throughout and tried her guts out but couldn’t quite get there behind Tympanist. That was on Dec 1 so the break between runs I find interesting but she is in well after the claim and can press forward.

Race 4. (15:25) Ole Kirk First Yearlings Handicap (64) 1600m

Back Me

Interesting race with some nice types engaged. Leaning towards 3 Franz Josef (Bet Now:$2.45) for Ryan/Alexiou. He debuted at Randwick on Boxing Day where he lobbed outside the speed before being clicked up and he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. Tick over trial was solid enough, good racing style and should be strong at the end.

Danger

2 Bullets High (Bet Now:$9.00) has home track advantage and should be fine at the mile after debuting with a win over 1400m. He was tucked in behind the speed and full of running before angling clear and he knuckled down strongly to get the win. Off that, 1600m should be ideal and with good upside for a leading camp, he’s a threat.

Long Shot

5 Ashfall (Bet Now:$8.50) is a very interesting runner. Chris Waller trained three year old that resumes, having not raced since Sep 9 when having his lone run for the prep, finishing down the track behind Ming Dynasty. Trail work has been okay without jumping up and down but 1600m fresh tells me there is some level of intent.

Race 5. (16:00) Bivouac First Yearlings Handicap (72) 1300m

Back Me

8 Kangaroo Court (Bet Now:$5.00) will jump on the bunny and prove hard to run down. He hasn’t raced since August 6 when down the track in the Forbes Cup, a Big Dance Qualifier. Given a good break and he has looked strong in a couple of trials to get ready for the return. Lands on speed and will be hard to get past I’d suggest.

Danger

18 Infinitive (Bet Now:$SP.00) is a nice mare for Chris Waller that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since the Vinery Stud during the Autumn last year when down the track but far from disgraced in defeat behind Prowess. Had bone chip removal hence the long time but has trialled well leading in and has a touch of quality.

Long Shot

6 Command Approved (Bet Now:$27.00) is an improver back to this level for Maher/Eustace. This guy ran at Randwick three weeks back where he got back in the run and made up minimal headway behind a good mare, Tintookie. His best is clearly good enough to take this out…just needs to show it on race day again.

Race 6. (16:40) Australia Day Cup 2400m

Back Me

8 Outlandos (Bet Now:$31.00) us worth a throw at the stumps. He was 1600m to 2200m in the Magic Millions Subzero at the Gold Coast and it was pretty much a trial. Sat last in an on speed dominated affair, he had little room to move yet was still making up ground despite not having proper clear air. He loves firm ground, he’ll be strong late…think he’s clear value against the favourite, who was blessed in run last time and rises sharply in weight.

Danger

2 Naval College (Bet Now:$1.70) looks hard to beat, clearly, but from a betting perspective, he’s a bit on the short side. He won the January Cup at Randwick last time where he got the A1 run in transit before angling into clear and he got better as the race went on to win and win well. Racing like 2400m will be ideal and gets J Mac. Has plenty in his corner.

Long Shot

1 Great House (Bet Now:$13.00) is a knockout hope for Chris Waller. He ran in the January Cup last start where he was dragged back from the wide gate and was never a factor, finishing down the track behind Naval College. Like him up in trip and from the inside gate, he can settle much closer in the run and still be effective at the end.

Race 7. (17:20) The Arrowfield Advantage Handicap (72) 1000m

Back Me

3 Secret Revolution (Bet Now:$5.00) is a nice gelding for Team Snowden and he looks to have come back in really good order. He resumed at Canberra where he looked a good thing on paper and despite a few nervous moments, he got clear air and got better as the race went on to win and win well. Good upside to come, kind map…hard to beat.

Danger

4 Dipsy Doodle (Bet Now:$5.00) is a James Cummings trained filly that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since the Scone Carnival when placing in the Woodlands behind Hip Hip Hoorah. Given a good break and with a couple of sharp trials to get ready for the return, despite the wide gate, she’ll be around the mark.

Long Shot

9 Edna (Bet Now:$41.00) is an improver at odds for Craig Carmody. She resumed under the lights at Canterbury where she did work to find the front and that early burn told late in the piece, finishing down the track behind Molly Nails. Good racing style, should find the front and run a bold race at a likely decent price.
