Max Verstappen is the favorite to win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He has the drivers' championship and the single-season record for race wins. Ver stappens posted the fastest time in FP2. George Russell was second, while Sergio Perez was third.   He had run 23 laps in the morning session. The main straight out of turn five is over a kilometer long.

Mercedes finished second in Constructors' Championship this season. The team has been upgrading its car for the next season, and it's now the second-best team behind Ferrari. Mercedes finished first in practice in Abu Dhabi. Mercedes is aiming for a fourth double podium of the season in Mexico. It's the first time since 2013 that Mercedes didn't win the Constructor's Championship. This season's first win came in Brazil.
