Verstappen leads Leclerc by 63 points in the Drivers' standings. Last weekend VerstAPPEN finished ten seconds clear of Lewis Hamilton. Ferrari's decision to pit Carlos Sainz after taking third place cost him a place in top three. Mercedes achieved a double podium for the first time in 2022. Sergio Perez's Red Bull finished second. George Russell overtook him near the end of the race.

The track is believed to favor the Ferraris this weekend. Mercedes are breathing down their necks for the second spot in the standings. They will take a chance on Sainz, who was the quickest man on track during the French Grand Prix.
