Don’t let Oregon’s recent 35-6 shellacking of Utah fool you. The Utes are led by one of the best coaches in the country, Kyle Whittingham, and are a serious threat to hand Washington its first loss of the season.

Utah’s offense has found its mojo as of late, scoring 34 or more points in three of its last four games. None of those wins came against highly-regarded defenses, but the Huskies have struggled on that side of the ball in recent weeks, allowing 30+ points in three of its previous four games. Washington is particularly weak through the air, ranking fourth-worst in the Pac-12 in passing yards surrendered per game.

Bryson Barnes is far from a prolific passer, but seven of his eight throwing touchdowns have come in the past three games.

Before facing Oregon, Washington beat opponents by 27 points per game. Since, but not including the game vs. the Ducks, the Huskies have won by nine points per game.

Michigan has clobbered every team on its schedule, winning by an FBS-leading 34 points per game. However, the Wolverines have yet to face a ranked team, and four of its nine victories came against teams currently below .500.

It’s hard to gauge how dominant Michigan truly is without seeing how they perform vs. quality teams, and we’ll finally get an answer to that question on Saturday.

Beaver Stadium will undoubtedly be at capacity when the Wolverines come to University Park to face Penn State, meaning over 106,000 fans will supply plenty of home-field advantage for the Nittany Lions.

Defense is Penn State’s strength, as the unit allows 60 rushing yards and 12 points per game, ranking second and third in FBS, respectively. Those numbers will be put to the test vs. a Michigan offense scoring 40 points per game.

UCLA started the year strong, thoroughly beating its first three opponents. But two of those wins came against G5 teams, and the third was vs. an FCS school.

The Bruins are 3-3 when facing Pac-12 foes, and its most impressive victory came over 4-5 Colorado.

Arizona State is no juggernaut at 2-7 but lost to Cal, Colorado, and Washington by just one possession. The Sun Devils’ only FBS win came over Washington State when ASU was extremely efficient on third down, converting 8/11 tries.

On the flip side, Arizona State got trounced by Fresno State 29-0 and got creamed by Utah 55-3 in Week 10. The Sun Devils have been inconsistent all year long but this could be a spot where the team ups its game at home.
