Georgia favored at Alabama in FanDuel’s CFB games of the year odds

Every season it seems as if we get one sportsbook releasing college football lines for significant games — “games of the year” as they’re generally known in the sports betting industry — earlier and earlier.

This year, we haven’t even made it out of January and already FanDuel Sportsbook has posted odds on 12 games, including important matchups like Georgia-Alabama, Michigan-Ohio State and Ohio State-Oregon.

Georgia is a 3-point favorite at Alabama on FanDuel, which is significant because Alabama has been favored in 110 consecutive home games, and obviously just lost Nick Saban to retirement. How many other players at Bama will enter the transfer portal?

The Michigan-Ohio State rivalry game takes on a little different meaning in the new Big Ten, and FanDuel has Ohio State listed as a 6-point favorite. The Buckeyes will likely have a new starting quarterback in Will Howard, while Michigan will lose many players and possibly head coach Jim Harbaugh as well from this year’s national championship team.

Here are a few other interesting lines:

  • North Dakota State at Colorado (-7.5)
  • Clemson at Georgia (-12.5)
  • Texas (-1.5) at Michigan
  • Ohio State at Oregon (-1.5)
  • Alabama at LSU (-1.5)

Feel like the odds are off for a matchup? There are months until the games are played, but it’s never too early to get a position down.
