Horse racing predictions: Doncaster and Kempton

There are five race meetings taking place across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. The St Leger Festival takes place at Doncaster. Carlisle, Cork, Kempton and Uttoxeter are also taking part.

There's a Group 3 race on Town Moor with the Sceptre Fillies’ Stakes. UMM KULTHUM was a smart juvenile in 2020, winning two of her four starts and going close in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stake at Newmarket. She only managed two outings in 2021 but returned in April from 343 days off to win a 6f Listed race at Royal Ascot.

Tom Marquand and Ed Walker can team up to take this 7f handicap at Kempton with ABOVE IT ALL. Kodiac gelding won by a wide margin over course and distance in March on his only previous visit to this track.

Doncaster's flagship meeting is taking place on Saturday. Kieron Fallon is riding Shine On Brendan for Jim Goldie. The gelding has won five times in his eight starts since the spring. The most recent of those wins came on his latest start over an extended mile at Hamilton 12 days ago.
