Illinois Sports Betting Surges in September with NFL’s Return
Illinois sports betting sites handled $831.8 million in wagers during September. This is a big increase from August's $564. 8 million. The adjusted gross revenue generated by operators during the month was $78.4 million, good for a hold of 9. 4%.
DraftKings is the new leader in sports betting with $291.9 million in in-person and mobile bets, followed by FanDuel with an overall handle of $240. 9 million. Football drew $292.3 million, baseball almost $139 million and parlays $198.8 million for Illinois sportsbooks in September.
