MLB parlay picks

Parlay: Harper over 0.5 hits + Turner over 0.5 hits + Braves moneyline (+153)

Harper over 0.5 hits (-315): Betting on Harper isn’t a bad idea considering how well he’s playing.

The Phillies superstar is slashing .300/.395/.426 and those numbers are on the rise. Harper is batting .385 since the start of July with 15 hits in 11 games, including six doubles and a home run.

The outfielder is facing a pitcher he’s very familiar with in Julio Teheran. Harper has an impressive 19 hits — including nine long balls — in 47 at-bats versus Teheran, per Swish Analytics.

Teheran is struggling ahead of this contest, too, allowing 13 runs in 11.2 innings pitched across his last two starts.

Other parlay picks

Turner over 0.5 hits (-360): A lot of the reasons for backing Harper also apply to Turner.

Philadelphia’s shortstop is only batting .249 this season, but that number is steadily increasing. Turner is hitting .268 since the start of June and has a hit in 15 of his last 19 outings.

Like Harper, Turner boasts an impressive track record against Teheran. He has 10 hits in 25 at-bats against the righty with a pair of doubles and a homer.

Teheran is giving up plenty of contact recently, surrendering 16 hits across his last two starts.

Braves moneyline (-205): Atlanta’s pitching advantage should be too much for Arizona to overcome.

The Braves are sending Bryce Elder to the mound and he’s having a fantastic season. Elder owns a 2.97 ERA and hitters are having a difficult time making quality contact off him. He possesses an 82nd-percentile barrel percentage, according to Baseball Savant.

Zach Davies is on the bump for the Diamondbacks and his season has been anything but pretty. He pairs a 6.37 ERA with a 4.40 FIP and his team is 4-7 in his 11 outings this year.

Atlanta has won 13 of its last 17 games.
