MLB parlay picks Sept. 28: Bet on Blue Jays, Marlins

A small 11-game MLB slate still provides us with an abundance of markets to build out our parlay.

The pregame narrative: Two talented arms take the mound between the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners, putting the under firmly in play. The Toronto Blue Jays are a solid pick to beat the New York Yankees. Thirdly, the Miami Marlins hold a pitching edge over the New York Mets and we're teasing them into underdog status.

MLB parlay picks

Parlay: Rangers vs. Mariners under 9.5 runs + Blue Jays moneyline + Marlins +1.5 (+168)

Rangers vs. Mariners under 9.5 runs (-278): This game will have a playoff-like atmosphere with both teams jockeying for position and four games remaining on the schedule.

Bettors should expect a low-scoring affair with that being the case, especially considering the pitching duel.

Jordan Montgomery gets the ball for Texas and he's been fantastic. He pairs a strong 3.25 ERA with a 3.53 FIP and the under on this total has cashed in nine of his last 13 outings.

He'll face a Seattle lineup that's about league average against lefties, ranking 16th in OPS (.738).

The Mariners are starting Logan Gilbert and he's also enjoying a quality campaign. He owns a 3.75 ERA and a 3.78 FIP and there have been nine runs or fewer in three of his last five appearances.

Other parlay picks

Blue Jays moneyline (-190): Toronto is in a nice spot to bounce back after a pair of shutout losses to New York.

Yes, the Blue Jays are still searching for their first run of the series but they'll likely find it against Luke Weaver. The Yankees righty has a 6.47 ERA and a 5.55 FIP this season, numbers that don't inspire much confidence.

Toronto sends Chris Bassitt to the bump and he's been very good since the All-Star Game. He has a 3.16 ERA and 3.96 FIP across 13 starts and the Blue Jays have won eight of those outings.

Marlins +1.5 (-345): Miami's pitching advantage gives us confidence that it can keep this game close at a minimum.

The Marlins are rolling with Jesus Luzardo and he's closing up a really nice season. He has a 3.73 ERA and a 3.67 FIP and his team is 19-12 when he starts.

New York isn't finding much luck when David Peterson starts. His 5.37 ERA and 4.45 FIP are brutal numbers and the Mets are 9-17 in his starts.

Even worse, they've failed to cover as a run-line favourite in 21 of his 26 appearances.
