MLB Picks for October 24: Baseball Best Bets, Predictions, Odds on DraftKings Sportsbook

The Championship Series for both leagues have been incredible. Last night, the Rangers took care of the Astros, punching their ticket to the World Series. The Diamondbacks jumped out to an early lead against the Phillies last night and never relinquished it. Game 7 is tonight and I’ll give a couple bets to sweat along with.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Philadelphia Phillies

I like this play because if this game is tied after five innings, the D-Backs play would win. I’m leaning toward them getting out to an early lead. If you feel differently and think they could be leading, you could also take them at -0.5 at +170. The biggest factor here is going to be Ranger Suarez. His numbers at home were not good, posting a 5.45 ERA with a .327 wOBA, nine of the 13 home runs he’s allowed and a 4.15 FIP. Righties also have a .335 wOBA and eight home runs against Suarez at Citizens Bank Park. This Diamondbacks club is good against lefties and tonight’s projected lineup has a combined .337 wOBA with a .164 ISO. We haven’t seen anything to be concerned about Suarez yet but two of his three starts came on the road. His lone home start was against the Braves, whom he held them to just one run. Just like the series, the D-Backs +0.5 is 3-3 on the run line against the Phillies. If we see that Suarez that’s struggled at home, it should be an early cash for the D-Backs.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Philadelphia Phillies

Marte has been one of the biggest reasons for the D-Backs success this postseason. Specifically against the Phillies, he’s been the driving force of offense. He’s gone over 1.5 bases in four of the six games. Marte has had a hit in every playoff game for the D-Backs and seven of them have gone for extra bases. He’s been excellent against the sinker, which Suarez has thrown 34% of the past month, making it his most used pitch. On the season, Marte has a ridiculous .508 wOBA, a .233 ISO and only a 3.2% K% against it thrown by lefties. Even if you combine his plate appearances against it from last year, he STILL has a .482 wOBA and a .214 ISO.
