ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll try the Mets in this one. You could make a case either way, though. Peterson has given up seven earned runs in his last three starts over 12.0 innings total. As for Canning, he’s got seven earned over this last 12.0 innings as well, going 1-0 in his last three outings. I like both starters to post decent outings in game three, so it’s going to be up to the offenses in the later innings. On Saturday New York fell behind early and used six more pitchers following Carlos Carrasco’s five earned in 1.2 innings. The good news is that the bullpen held strong; the bad news is that the hole was too deep to dig out of. I like New York to bounce back in this one, but I’m probably not touching it.
