The Brewers took on the Pirates in their last series, winning Tuesday 7-3 but otherwise falling 4-2 and 5-4 in the remaining two games. In Wednesday’s loss, Milwaukee’s Willy Adames had a three-run homer and two hits. On Friday versus the Yankees, the Brewers scored three runs in both the seventh and eighth innings during an 8-2 win. Adames posted another three RBI with two hits and a homer.
In the Saturday starter role for the Brewers it’ll be Wade Miley. This year in his 19 starts Miley is 7-4 with a 3.33 ERA and 64 Ks in 100.0 innings. Miley is 2-2 with a 3.29 ERA over his last seven starts.
New York Yankees
Over on the Yankees’ side, they took on the Tigers this week. After wins in the first pair, in the finale New York took a 10-3 loss. In Friday’s opener matchup the Yankees had just three team hits in the defeat. Jasson Dominguez had a two-run homer as the only RBI.
As starting pitcher for Saturday’s game the Yankees will go with Michael King. This year over 44 games (four starts) King is 4-5 with a 2.88 ERA and 91 Ks in 78.0 innings. King is 1-1 with a 2.53 ERA over his last seven starts.

I’ll take a stab on the Brewers in this one. Probably not touching it, though. Miley has been pretty hit-and-miss over his last three starts. He’s 1-1 in that time with nine earned runs in a span of 17.1 innings. Miley is coming off a loss to Philadelphia with 6.1 innings and four earned. If all goes well he should be able to keep Milwaukee in the game here, but Miley will need some help from the bats. In the Friday matchup the Brewers’ offense started a little slow but ultimately bagged 16 team hits in a dominant victory. Milwaukee has four or more runs in three straight games, and I like them to keep it rolling in game two.
