Believe it or not, Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season is upon us.

In Week 5, I went 2-1 with a pair of outright underdog winners to improve to 6-9 against the spread this season. Now it’s on to the 15-game slate in Week 6, and following are the three best underdog bets.

The Colts haven’t been treated to any southern hospitality in Duval County of late, suffering seven consecutive straight-up/ATS setbacks in Jacksonville.

The Jags also won 31-21 Week 1 in Indy as 3.5-point road favorites.

So why go with the Colts on the road without injured starting quarterback Anthony Richardson? Call it a bet on backup QB Gardner Minshew, who will be facing his former team .

Indy is 3-0, including a win in Baltimore, this season when the seasoned Minshew the majority of the offensive snaps.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, are in a prime spot for a mini-letdown, coming back home after two games in London — including Sunday’s 25-20 upset victory over the Buffalo Bills — to face a team they’ve already beaten by double digits.

The host Falcons are 3-0 at home after a tight 21-19 win over the Houston Texans in Week 5.

Washington, meanwhile, has dropped three straight following a 2-0 start.

But the Commanders have certainly shown up on the road so far this season, overcoming an 18-point deficit to win 35-33 in Denver and taking the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles to overtime before succumbing 34-31.

We’re expecting a strong, bounce-back showing from coach Ron Rivera’s team in Atlanta after having 10 days to stew on an embarrassing 40-20 Week 5 home loss to the Bears.

Sean McVay’s Rams have owned this NFC West series of late, winning 11 of the last 13 head-to-head meetings.

But despite the Cardinals’ 1-4 start, they definitely haven’t been the 2023 doormat they were expected to be.

Arizona dominated the Dallas Cowboys 28-16 in Week 3, and followed that up by giving the undefeated San Francisco 49ers one of their toughest tests of the season in a 35-16 road loss.

The Rams’ talent advantage should win out Sunday in L.A., but look for QB Josh Dobbs and the feisty Cards to cover for the fourth time in six outings this season.
